This project consisted of the rehabilitation of the Steel Lift Bridge, which carries the Metro North Railroad tracks over the Harlem River between the boroughs of Bronx and Manhattan in New York City. Five Star’s role involved replacement of all electrical equipment such as AC power distribution switchgear, motor control centers, variable frequency speed drives, DC switchgear, SCADA, battery hut, traction power feeders and re-closures, bridge control console, VFD starters, in-line reactors, submarine cables, and main DC motors.
