The NYU School of Medicine’s Smilow Research Building was one of the first major additions to the campus in more than a decade. This 16-story facility houses some of the school's 40 multidisciplinary research teams. Five Star Electric completed the electrical core and shell installation. Scope of work included the installation of a new incoming service, switchgear and a complete power distribution system. Five Star was also responsible for the installation of a complete emergency system, which included a new generator, ATS and emergency feeders. In addition, Five Star installed all lighting, lighting controls and fire alarm systems.
