The project involved the fabrication and construction of permanent structural concrete lining, interior structures, as well as fit-out for caverns and tunnels previously excavated by others beneath the existing Grand Central Terminal located in Manhattan. This project also included the rehabilitation of the 63^rd Street Tunnel and construction of the 63^rd Street Duct Bench. Five Star Electric was responsible for the installation of underground duct banks within the tunnel and track invert. The role entailed installation of raceway systems for multiple rooms being constructed throughout the project. In addition, Five Star installed a grounding mesh system within the multiple levels of this newly-constructed cavern and installed duct banks and cable tray within the tunnel portions of this project in newly-created bench walls in Manhattan.
